Most Michiganders know Paw Paw as a city up north. Mary Liz thought it was a Buddy Ebsen role. Few that the City of Paw Paw was named after this tropical fruit that is primarily foraged in the northern parts of Michigan as it is too fragile to be grown en masse and distributed. They resemble a mango fused with banana in flavor. Three Cats will have them for a short time until they are gone. We will make Paw Paw ice cream, desserts, butter sauces and cocktails and you will be happy as a cat with a bowl of cream. But don’t dilly dally- they will be gone by October.
